The UK Prime Minister plans to press partner nations to supply Ukraine with further extended-range weaponry to target enemy locations during a meeting in London on the upcoming Friday.

The prime minister plans to receive Ukraine's leader the Ukrainian head of state alongside the so-called "group of committed partners", including over twenty of Kyiv's partners who have committed to offer Ukraine defense assurances once a ceasefire is arranged.

Zelensky has been urging for an extended period for further long-range weapons from Western nations, a step that Russia has warned would escalate the conflict.

Ukraine's leader is journeying from Belgium, where he held talks with European Union officials on the previous day seeking economic assistance.

"The only person participating in this conflict who refuses to halt the fighting is President Putin," the Prime Minister stated.

The Prime Minister will also reveal that one hundred additional anti-aircraft missiles will be delivered to Kyiv ahead of schedule, as specified in a multi-billion pound agreement reached between the UK and Ukraine in spring.

Diplomatic Momentum

Zelensky arrives off the back of two diplomatic wins recently: Donald Trump's decision to implement new measures against the Russian government, and the European Union agreeing to finance Ukraine's financial gap.

Sir Keir is aiming to sustain the momentum by increasing the leverage on the Kremlin to pursue an end to the conflict.

The Prime Minister will urge participants to ramp up the delivery of advanced missile technology following an effective operation on an industrial facility in Bryansk, the Russian Federation, using UK-provided advanced weaponry.

"Additionally, his horrific attacks on innocent children in a daycare this week show that crystal clear," he added.

A pair of children were included in at least seven killed in multiple Russian strikes on Ukraine, which struck a nursery in the major urban center Kharkiv.

Economic Talks

The Prime Minister will consult Western allies on approaches for withdraw Russian oil and gas from international trade.

The participants will also discuss using seized Moscow funds to provide Ukraine with economic assistance, although the proposal encountered divided opinions and jurisdictional challenges at the European meeting on yesterday.

European nations stopped short of approving to a proposal to use up to €140bn in blocked Moscow funds to economically support the Ukrainian economy.

Nonetheless, the delegates decided to assist with the country's "economic requirements" for the next two years.

The US also revealed measures on midweek against the Russian major energy corporations, Rosneft Oil and Lukoil Corporation, as element of actions to apply financial pressure on the Kremlin to begin peace talks.

Moscow began its comprehensive attack of Ukraine in winter 2022. The invading forces currently controls about 20% of the country's land, encompassing the southern region the Russian government annexed in 2014.
